Dr. Stanton Cope

Dr. Stanton Cope, Past President of the American Mosquito Control Association, is one of the country’s leading mosquito experts and a Medical Entomologist with more than a quarter century of experience. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Cope served as Director of the U.S. Armed Forces Pest Management Board where he was responsible for all aspects of mosquito control and pest management for the U.S. Department of Defense. A former Director of Entomology and Regulatory Services at Terminix International, Dr. Cope earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Swarthmore College in 1976; a master’s degree Entomology from the University of Delaware in 1980; and a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1988.
